    Matching Youth Grant

The Matching Youth Grant Program was established to support Lions Clubs in their efforts to provide assistance for youth in their communities that is beyond the financial capability of the club. Several clubs apply for one or more grants annually.

    How to Access This Program
During the period of July 1 to June 30, the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation accepts Youth Grant Applications for matching grants from Lions Clubs throughout Multiple District 36, to support youth (up to age 21) with disabilities who have special needs.

Grant requests must be submitted using the authorized form, which must be completely filled out. Any club in Multiple District 36 that is in good standing automatically has ownership in the OLSHF and may submit a request. It is expected that the requesting club will provide a significant financial involvement toward the matching funds. Clubs may partner with other Lions Clubs, community organizations, school districts, family or friends to provide additional funding.

Clubs will be notified by the committee chair or staff liaison if more information is needed for consideration of the request. If approved, the club will be notified by mail. After the Club Contact person verifies matching funds, a check will be sent out. Clubs may apply for more than one grant during the fiscal year, but the total grant amount funded per club per year may not exceed $1,000.

All clubs must submit a written report of the project or activity when it is completed.
We encourage pictures be taken and submitted with the grant report for publicity purposes. Any club that fails to submit the required report will not be considered for a Matching Youth Grant for the following year until such time as the report is received by the Foundation. Applications are considered on a case by case basis as remaining funds allow.

You may download an application in the Forms & Brochures section.
