Ways to Help Lions Serve

Planned giving programs allow you to take control of your assets and create a legacy.  With thoughtful planning, you can create a special legacy that will always be remembered.

Your donation changes the lives of some of our most vulnerable neighbors.  Your gift will help our Lions serve sight and hearing needs in your community.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts can take many forms. Join the Legacy Circle and be part of a special group of Lions and friends who have planned for the future of the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation and its vital services.

The Legacy Circle honors individuals who have made some provision for the future of the Foundation through estate planning. This could be in the form of a bequest, charitable gift annuity, real estate or the establishment of a simple Memorial Directive. Memorial Directives simply tell family and friends that at my death I want gifts made to the Foundation in my memory.

Memorial Directives are a simple way to provide for the future of our services by telling relatives and friends that you want gifts in your memory to come to our Foundation.  Click here to download and fill out a basic memorial directive.

Bequest
A bequest directs a gift to be made by will at the donor's death.  Bequests in a will are the simplest form of a planned gift and provide a contribution at your death. You have unlimited use of the property during your lifetime and unlimited estate tax deduction for your gift.

Charitable Gift Annuity
Make a lump sum payment of cash or marketable securities and receive a guaranteed tax-sheltered income for your lifetime.

Gifts of Real Estate
Outright real estate gifts can be deductible at fair market value. You can also make gifts of primary, rental, or vacation properties in trust, retain the right to live in the residence with tax benefits.

Tangible Property, Art, Antiques and Collectables
These gifts allow a tax deduction at fair market value and can be given during lifetime or by will.

Life Insurance Policies
By naming the Foundation as owner or beneficiary of Life Insurance Policies you can receive significant tax benefits.
